Day 1

Day 1, Section 1
Before I begin, I’d like to talk about how do I plan to learn new words.
I want to follow a simple approach.
I’ll Read new words each day and I’ll try and use them in my everyday language.
The best way to do is… write about my daily life (using the words). Things like, what did I do today, where do I plan to go today and, What’s going on in my head.
And about the source of the words,
I found a pack of vocabulary flash cards from “T.I.M.E.” Institute lying around. So For now, I am gonna use them.
1. Abjure
2. Ablution
3. Abnegation
4. Abolish
5. Abolitionist
Okay, so Abjure is to renounce an oath or solemnly,
I saw this movie lately, Al Pacino, The Merchant of Venice, (I also remember reading a book about it when I was a kid), the movie was about this Jew Merchant who took a bond from a Christian who was unable to pay it back, and in return he demanded a pound of his flesh.
The Court of Law tried their best to convince the Merchant to abjure his bond, but he did not agree!
Ablution, is the act of ceremonial washing of one’s body. Al Pacino played the role of the merchant and he did not agree to take twice the money back. As a result the Court ruled in favor of the merchant and asked him to cut the flesh himself. The Courts Guards performed an Ablution of the defaulter.
Abnegation, is self-denial, renunciation, forbearance, not taking care of oneself is a relevant trait to Abnegation, but the abnegation is a result of mostly non-interest in oneself (like depression). My mom says I don’t take care of myself, but I am not involved in the act of abnegation. I am simply too busy to worry about myself.
Abolish, the court of lay abolished the use of all firearms for civilians in the country. (Put an end too)
Abolitionist, is a person who is in favor of abolishing certain practices or institutes. Like I can be called a abolitionist when it comes to Violence.

There are 20 words in each card.. i'll try and cover all the words each day! As a beginning, ill prefer to take 5 at a time and post four articles talking about them...
